Default Re: Tire Screws????

Fist you should mark your tires and wheels with a crayon or some type of marker. If the marks do not stay aligned, then the tire is moving on the wheel and you need screws.
Videoing the car is an excellent way to see what it's doing on the launch. You'll need a good camera that you play back the recording very slow or frame by frame. You'll be surprised what you can see.
With a 565 with 1000+ HP, you may well be too high on your launch RPM at 5600 and may be spinning the tire and that will hurt R.T. way more than a tire slipping on the wheel. Also if your converter is too loose that can contribute to it. Check your converter flash RPM and check with your engine builder and converter builder for where it should be. Too high a flash RPM can hurt you as much as being too low.
