Im pretty sure the Christian-Sullivan -Ciccone Record holding Vette was sold to a local bracket racer who ran it at the Chicago area tracks thru the early 80s.What happened to it after that is a good question.I was at a small Indiana track back in the 90s and i thought i saw it there.I questioned the driver about the car and he told me it was not the Christian car.I will try to find out more info on what happened to it.I have a friend that may know.Im thinking the guy that had it was named Clint Smith. No relation to me.

Anyone remember a pale yellow 66 Vette named Electric Banana? Dave Otsby owned the car and raced out of Louisville, KY.

Charlie,
I just talked to a friend of the owner, that is not his car. His was always raced as a stocker or a super stocker. When he moved from Louisville to Bloomington, IN in the early 70's he drove it instead of towing it. He said it used a quart of oil and got 7 1/2 mpg driving about 95 miles. Dennis Breeden |

Does anyone have pictures of the Bardahl corvette that was run in the AHRA by the owner of Green Valley Raceway? Raced against them alot in the '70's.

The Electric Bannana was owned at one point by the guy that ran a speed shop here in Middletown Ohio. Margrum was his last name but I dont remember his first (Dave or Jim maybe?). Anyway I rember the car in his shop that was over by Smith Park. I remember seeing him with it at Edgewater even as late as the mid eighties. It still had a clutch turbo in it.
