nice find John.
Here's my thought on this car. Looks like a 68 LO23 due to the round side markers & the rear wheel well mods that ran Super Stock. It was then converted to a 69 either by direction from Ma Mopar because it was with a factory backed team, or was coverted to be current as a Pro Stock in 1970? Then it started it's hand me down status into classes such as this. Of course this is pure speculation. It has the base colors of the old Joe Teuton Southland flyer Dart liteweight input? ![]() ![]() Last edited by Liteweight; 04-15-2014 at 09:28 AM. |

I do not know the car, probably at Pittsburgh. When I was in the StockSSDragRacing Yahoo group I would "save all" without looking at all of the pictures... Only organized a handful and I am going through them now looking for Darts. I have over 12,000 pictures.

This was the Tueton dart that was originally the JRT dart.
Not the one you pictured but I can see why you thought so. Saw the one you pictured a ways back in the topic, as a Pro/Stock with no injectors. Finding it ??????????? ![]() Last edited by Charlie A; 04-17-2014 at 07:58 AM. |

Daryl’s thoughts about the Dart that John posted are pretty accurate. The Dart pictured is the former Hall&Williams 1968 factory Hemi Dart from Cleveland Ohio. Hall&Williams bought it new in 1968 and raced it about four years in SS and later in Pro/S, they installed the 69 grill and tail lights in 70 or 71.
Hall&Williams sold the Dart in 72 or 73 to Bob Porter from Parma Ohio. The pictures that John posted are shortly after Bob purchased the Dart. In those pictures the Dart still has the second Hall&Williams paint job with the purple flake and pearl with purple cobweb trim which was applied by Bobby Nolan (Nolan Brothers) of Cleveland Ohio. Porter later had the Dart painted black with orange and yellow accents. The car was stored away in 75 or 76 and I purchased the car from Bob in 2004. Many thanks to John for posting those pictures I have never seen any pictures of the car during that time period before and thanks Daryl for encouraging me to post the above information.
