Default Re: eliminating front brake drag (factory disc 99 camaro)

coupla things you might want to check--first make sure the piston is receding ALL THE WAY into the caliper--- might need to take the puck out and clean it off could be some crud preventing it from receding-- if the puck will not go back flush or recessed into the caliper you might need a new caliper/s-- next make sure that the pins have lube on them take em out clean em off real good and use disc brake lube CRC brand is OK but Permatex brand is better--reassemple the calipers without the pads and slide the 2 halves of the caliper back and forth a little to make sure they move freely if they do install the pads and reassemble then pump the brakes a few times see if they still drag---should be OK now if not another thing to check see if the wheel bearings are too tight ya might have to back the castle nut off a 1/8-1/4 turn cuz you might be pinching the rotor up against the inside pad
