Could be, Daryl. My eyes aren't what they used to be. I just wanted to make sure that particular car got noticed. This has been better than a mystery novel or any TV mini series I've ever watched. Good luck with your search. Also,, I enjoyed the recent article in the Muscle Machines magazine,,, take care.

I know it's been shown before but this pic just screams 70's small town drag strip pit action.
How many of todays Pro Stock drivers would fit this profile? Maybe WJ (who's pretty much parked) but few others. ![]() |

A bunch of years ago I needed to do just a "quick" job of hooking up the pipes to the collectors on my 70 hemicuda. No jack stands required since it was only a 5 minute job----or so I thought. On my creeper, I connected the Drivers side, then without getting off it I rolled around the front to do the Passenger side. I went to pull myself under the car by grabbing the frame rail. This was enough to rock the car just enough to place a side load on the hydraulic jack 20 year old piston seal & it blew. The car came down like RIGHT NOW. It's a good thing I didn't have my head under it yet, only my shoulder & arm. The car nailed my shoulder hard enough to break the creeper wheel. Leason learned---the hard way, but also the lucky way. A split second later, it woulda bounced off my head. Ever since then I never go under a car for even a quick job without jack stands. liteweight |
