Thank you Dan,
The converter is brand new (does not mean there isn't a problem) mabe by a very reputable company. It only has 15 runs on it so far. Like I said, It does come tolife to where I expected the car to run on several occations Bob |

Door car or dragster ! D05, D06 ,C07?
I change my D06's on a 2300# roadster after 80 runs , Not because they are going away ,but because you don't know when they will. .....I have run them as many as 95 runs , but never wanted to chance finding the limit . And anyone who knows me knows I show my tires NO mercy on the burnout ,and they still last at least 80 runs.

It is a 2500# door car and the slicks are D06. I do moderate burnouts.
Tom, you may have seen the car at the NE Nationals. It is the "Magnum Force" 'Cuda. I was pitted in the same area as you. I would like to have introduced myself but did not get the opportunity. Bob |

Yes Bob , I know your car.
Without data like driveshaft rpm or throttle stop rpm ,its sometimes difficult to pin inconsistencies on any one thing ,so the tires usually are suspect when they have a large number of runs on them. Since the problem started with the converter change ,I would suspect that it's probably hitting the tire harder than in the past. ......A bar position change or a much stiffer shock setting than was used in the past may be needed. maybe even different tire pressure . come by and see me at the NED points race in a few weeks and we can talk.

I agree Tom, the converter is probably hitting the tires harder than before. I do have a data logger to review for each change. I made adjustments to the rear shocks at the NE event and I believe I found what it likes. At this point, I do not want to blame the tires for a converter issue or the other way around. This past weekend, I made three good runs (all in the same lane) then it spun on the fourth. Then on the next day, I made one good run then on the next, the converter did not flash as it has been, resulting in a lazy launch.
