We always used the GM brown sealer in the can with the applicator attached to the cap....
It looked like Permatex Aviation Form-A-Gasket only thicker..... Nasty stuff but it worked great on studs and bolts.......... Bob PS: Don't forget to add a good block sealer such as Moroso Ceramic Block Sealer or K & W Metallic Block Sealer
