Thanks, Paul. Someone has to have photo(s) of it. If memory serves me correct, Sal Marino was the track photographer at Madison Township Raceway Park back then. Perhaps The Local Brush lettered the car? Doesn't hurt to try and contact him.

I did some checking...

http://www.draglist.com/draglist/sea...+Thums&page=69

and yes, indeed, Sal Marino was the track photographer at Raceway Park back then. He was from Staten Island. A few years ago I tried to get the late Bob Plumer to contact him, you know, one professional photographer to another, in an attempt to get him to share his archives (if he still had his negatives and/or slides) with our Yahoo StockSSDragRacing group. I don't believe Bob Plumer was able to make any contact. I forget the name of his photography business but that's how I was able to give the info to Bob.

Ah yes, Marcel Studios.

From an email I received in the aforementioned StockSSDragRacing Yahoo! Group a few years ago:

Old Track Photographer!!

Guys I've decided to share this info here. Trip Marcel was the track photographer for Englishtown Raceway Park NJ.If you have any old Raceway News you will notice his name printed below the picture.I have talked to him and he has tons of never before seen pictures. He's located in New Jersey and his email is marcelb@msn.com or Marcel Studios 107 Central Av. Ridgefield ,NJ 07660 or 201-641-7778 Voice or 201-641-9272 fax. I don't know what it will cost so call for prices. If he ask how you found out about him tell him Dan from NJ.

looks like this car yes?? I'm trying to remember the background on this one, specially since Arlen was from the Plymouth camp. Anyone care on rebooting my memory?

Thankyou to all for the new ideas. . They are being followed up on as I type, as time allows. Each one will be pushed.

Manhattan Speed Decal--- $11.00 each plus $24.95 shipping to Canada. I have no issue paying $22.00 for the items. I DO have issue with the shipping cost due to the size of an envelope. For me to send a letter to the USA it costs me $1.25. Not sure where they come up the rest of the cost. I'm not saying I won't saddle up for them, BUT, SOAB, the shipping cost to here is freakin robbery. Welcome to the world of north of the 49th parallell once again.

What about the CAR Paul???

I have kept in contact with Lee Quinones, who lives just down the street where Manhattan Speed used to be. He was a starting line "official" @ one time. Today he owns a very sinister black 65 Plymouth & is a very famous artist in the NY area.

I spoke with the owner @ the time of Manhatan speed, Joe Doto, on a couple occasions, & he told me he never had any sponsorship with any hemi dart. So, I'm totally confused with the association of the two. This is why pictures are REALLY important seeing the name on the front fender

dart in question is still in question, but the Mustang (I believe this is the car that Tab Talmadge) campaigned durring the NY street racing wars.
