I had a customer that had a similar request, it was a frame car but he wanted to have the body removable. I sandwiched a plate top and bottom of the floorpan (bolted through) with the top plate for the cage and the bottom portion attached to the frame by 1 5/8 tubing. NHRA Tech was OK with this, the car tagged so I assume this method is acceptable.
