The Anderson works well, I have used it many times before. But there is a little bit of power to be made getting the mass air out of the way. The only reason I would run piggyback over a standalone is if rules required it, (which as far as I can tell, they don't here) As far as budget, for what the Megasquirt costs about the same as you pay for a used Anderson PMS, factory computer and aftermarket mass air meter.
