Not needed on this car, but I ran across this Aerospace rear brake system for half price and could'nt pass on it. This one may never have much go, but it will definitely whoa hehe. Much easier/quicker to pull the axles vs the drum set-up to boot.

While the engine parts are at the machine shop I think I shall begin putting the interior back in the car...be prepared for a shocking change in appearance.

Thanks for the updates. When my granddaughter is done with Jr's, we are going to need to find something else for her to race. I have everything to put my 64 Fairlane back out there but a Fox body would be the cheapest way to go.

I'll agree that the Foxbody is relatively cheaper to build than most Tommy, but to be honest I could have bought a complete running car cheaper than for what I will ultimately have invested in this one.

Do the Fairlane! I can think of nothing cooler than a teenage girl staging a 64 Fairlane against some old coot in a Dodge.

Just noticed today I had the calipers upside down...corrected. Carpet in the morning.

Man, it was a race car for a lot of years and to todays kids it may be a tank. It's up to my son and granddaughter. I drive it like a dozen times a summer.

I was beginning to regret messing with this console instead of deleting it, but I believe it's going to work out in the end. I need to fashion a mount for the shifter before bolting the console down permanently.

Once the door panels and sill plates are back on I think it will look pretty decent.

Not certain what shifter you are planning to run, but if it is a 1/4 Stick style shifter, Holcomb Motorsports makes a really nice shifter mount that works with the stock console. Here is a link to it. I've used one in 12 different Mustangs, lol. http://shop.holcombmotorsports.com/S...m1plqscsfapp03

I have a Precision Performance shifter on the way. It will be rear cable exit and mounted where the emergency brake handle used to reside. The factory shifter location would not be comfortable for me...too far forward.

Except maybe against one in a SS/GT '68 Mustang!
