[QUOTE=Liteweight;464399]Welcome here Doug. Great pictures you found. Thanx for sharing. Do you have more?

About the rear openings. There are probably not 2 LO23 Darts out there, even new, that have the same opening shape. They were modified by hand, torch, & hammer at Hurst. I'd even go to the extent the DS was different to the PS.

Below is a pic of mine. They've really been opened on the forward side, but still retain the original outer tubs. Available tire diameter started dictating opening size. There weren't tires available of size till the early 70's.

Anyone recognize the ID on that white Dart?

Thanks for the welcome. I have been watching this website and thread for some time now but most of my photos I post on : www.hemishootout.net

Since I was able to find these three images and get them scanned I figured that the real interest would be here. I do have a few from 1989 of some cars that might not be original LO23 or BO29 code cars. You guys might get a chance to figure those out.

The two images of the entire quarter panel were also posted on the Hemi Shoot Out Facebook page last evening and a guy chimed in making the statement that the Hurley Automotive Dart is an original Hurst prepped car. If that is the case my hunch would be that at some point after delivery the car owner had the forward edge of the wheel openings further radiused with the curve added. It appears that the trailing edge of the wheel opening is the same as on the white Dart.

The white Dart was sponsored by 'Transitowne Dodge' out of
Williamsville {Buffalo}, New York.

They were Western New York's #1 Dodge Dealership.

They sponsored Dick Oldfield's Hemi Dart in 1968 and 1969.

Same car......... ???

Sadly, we lost Stewart. Joe Pappas posted on the Moparts thread. Farewell my friend, say hey to Ronnie Sox and Donnie Carlton for us. I know you were quite fond of Donnie as you called him. Thank you for your friendship and all the posters and CDs you gave me over the years and the BBQ too!
