Have you checked the Sock in the Sending unit inside the gas tank?
Sometimes in old cars they get all gummed up and the sock breaks down and get sucked inside the tube ! Happened to my 1969 Galaxie XL with 429/360hp way back when. Actually had a second problem, a cracked hose connecting the Sending Unit to the gas line. Dan |

Good point, Dan. I had an old Camaro that I went through that with. I don't remember having the tank out of the car. It's worth a look!

With that being said, with the wacky heads on this car, even though I have a very small exhaust lobe in it, the new headers could be doing something similar. I might be smart to just try the original headers again.
