Yes, they are Joshua trees, from the Yucca family, and only grow in the Mohave Desert..in that little tri- state corner of the world.

 Well, here's the latest on the newly acquired coffee pot from back in Arizona. This new one has stopped working.. OMG...So today, Willie, and Joe and I truck over to the nearest Walmart with the three week old Coffee Pot in hand (in the original box, of course) and Joe takes the paid receipt to customer service for the exchange and they return to him $20 too much.. He has then left the counter and realizes the mistake and again stands in line to explain and return the overage... Said new Walmart individual thanks him for his honesty and then short changes Joe a dollar and OMG...it appears there is now going to be NO PAPER WORK accompanying this "honesty transaction." hmmmm I am very sure that there is a wonderful lesson to be learned here, but we three Southerners must keep this lesson to the conversation and laughter following when we returned to the car.. You be the judge.... But in the morning, we are genuinely hoping to have a good cup of coffee.. Good night....oh, that's right, we drove all these gazillion miles to RACE!!!!! |

Well it has been a beautiful day here in southern California! Today was tech day, then we headed out to the other sea in our "sea to shining sea" tour! Larry wasn't able to go with us since he had to do a little work around the camp! But Jim Marshall drove the Saturn and we fought thru all the traffic to Newport Beach! BTW, I am so glad I don't live out here! I am sure the pretty weather is a big plus, but I would go crazy trying to drive in this awful traffic! So here are a few pics from today:
 Here is Joe feeding the parking meter! And then Adam got a ticket after putting $5 in the meter!  And here it is!!! The Pacific Ocean!! From Sea to Shining Sea!!  Jim and Pam  Alice and Joe  Adam Strang and Eugene Monahan Division 1 stock racers went to the sea with us, too. |
