Blind,
about the tires, we made the decision based on feedback from M/T and other racers. WoodenFin

MULE,
I'll expound a little further on our tire decision. We race in TX and the tracks we frequent can get marginal in the summer months. I was considering the 10.5 tire, but elected the larger footprint of the 13.5. Early estimates on ET are in the 4.50 1/8 mile 6.90 1/4 mile range and having a little more tire doesn't upset me. We appreciate the feedback and look forward to sharing more details of this build. Jeff Woodfin |

Jeff only has about $9,000.00 plus in these heads so take a hand drill and just poke a hole right through them

Dale,
the drilling and threading is as you suspected, you will notice the water lines coming off each side of the water pump going into each head. This pumps extra cooling water around the two center exhaust valves. It is a suggested modification that I think is a good idea. And you are correct about this is not your average package. Keep watching, you ain't seen nothing yet ![]()

Guys this build is a joy to follow along with. Great work!
Jeff, totally agree with your tire size choice. When we ran quick 8 dragster,we had 12' tires for good hitting tracks and 15's for garbage tracks. Not only where the 15's necessary for marginal tracks,it helped the "ride" down track. Jimmy |
