Do you know a part number for that AN fitting in the carb's fuel inlet? I'd like to get a fitting just like that if I can.

Those neat AN fittings for a 4GC are Fragola part number 491967 for the -8AN and 491950 for the -6AN--those carbs used a 5/8-20 thread pitch on the fuel inlet --FED 387

Both Deano and my ruler say it's 7/8-20, not 5/8. But I've got several PNs from different manufacturers now.

True but some of the carbs do have a 5/8-20 most are 7/8-20----- fittings for both sizes(5/8 or 7/8) in AN configuration are readily available you just have to look not really that difficult to find either------FED 387
