Re: Pomona Bound - CA Towing Tips
I understand they also don't want older diesels that don't use DEF. Last time out there, I decided I wasn't going back.

Re: Pomona Bound - CA Towing Tips
I think the DOT on fuel is 1000 lbs or about 2 drums.

Re: Pomona Bound - CA Towing Tips
That is correct and fuel must be in DOT approved containers. Some of the plastic jugs are not and if the officer is not a pleasant person he will check them. Battery charged for break away? Chains to long and dragging ground or twisted several times to take up slack is a violation.
Pulling a trailer in CA you only get 2 right lanes. I got a ticket on this one when there were 2 lanes and it went to 3 lanes and I passed a group of cars on the far left lane. Last edited by Jeff Stout; 11-05-2016 at 10:44 AM. Reason: more |

Re: Pomona Bound - CA Towing Tips
Thank you, all who responded. We were armed with a motorsports permit and ran the right lane at 57 mph without issue.
We also played golf in Arizona so we would do all CA driving after business hours.
