Hack,

We were out a few weeks ago testing. Our tune-up is getting closer and each tweak to the EFI system is making more power. As we added power, Dolly became a handful. She was launching to the left and skating down track. We loaded up after 4 runs and have made chassis adjustments in preparation for the next outing. We're scheduled to test again at the Texas Motorplex next weekend and will report back.

Jeff: Some things to consider. Make sure rear is square to engine centerline. Check circumference of rears and make sure pressure is equal. If you have a double wheelie bar, make sure it's not steering the car on launch. Adjust the rebound on rear shocks softer. If they are stiff and you go through any bumps, it will pull the rearend up off the track surface and you start to spin the tires. Hope this helps.

The suspension adjustments made Dolly launch straight and stay planted to the track all the way down. The converter is too loose, so it has been sent off to be tightened.

Our next event is scheduled for June 10 and we are cautiously optimistic that the performance will significantly improve.

Hack,

Thanks for asking.

Dolly is a demanding Gal! Without question, we are paying our dues with this project. The engine is out and torn down for a cam change. In addition, we changed the rear gear and have the converter sent for the 3rd change.

We will prevail, we have the experience and desire, yet it has been a frustrating journey. Our eyes are on the reward and I think we will have some good performance before the season ends.
