Well, Tim Banning (For Hemis Only) finally has my engine ready to go... almost. On the dyno today, in fact. Can't wait to see the numbers.

Now the problem- he cannot seem to be able to scrounge up any of the old chromed-steel valve covers that I would like, for a old-school look. The ones with the orange super stock stickers on them. Does anybody here have a set that they would sell, or know a vendor where I can purchase some?

Hey Clint

Good to hear.
Can you post a link if Tim does a video of it??
Interested in seeing some numbers on it also.

As far as valve covers go. The chrome covers that had the Super Stock Decals on them were actually 1964-65 covers that were used exclusively with the K Head.
The 68 Super Stock Hemi's used the same covers as the Street Hemi's that were finished in a wrinkle Black paint. This is assuming you are looking for a OEM look

If you want the chrome, just order up a set of repops for the 1966-1971 Street Hemi style, then add a set of repop decals.

These are an old set of original Nascar covers that have been "finessed" some to fit my application.
If you look at the valve gear clearance humps, these are actually factory stamped. Very rare and hard to find.

Does anyone here recognize or remember this car. Ed Miller had an original LO23 that he converted into a Scamp to run Pro Stock for a very brief period, and I'm wondering if this could be it..
If you look closely I think it has black plastic buttons on the door handles which signifies they could be a set of 68 lightweight doors on it.
