Need mcallen/mission Texas info

have a family member thinking about going to the Mcallen/Mission Texas for the winter--"Snowbird" vacation- anybody know anything about the area??? Pro /con thanks FED 387

I know several folks who stay in the Texas valley for the winter. "Snowbirds" as they are called come to the valley in droves. There are numerous large RV resorts all over the area and they all cater to the winter rv'ers.
