I just did the brake swap on my 79 Camaro. I had iron drums on the rear and it saved 19 lbs total weight and 14 lbs rotating. I used the Strange Eng kit. If your shock set-up is like the Camaro, order an extra right side caliper bracket so you can flip the left side caliper to the front for shock clearance. I changed the front and rear at the same time and picked up .03 nearest I can figure.
