Tried posting pictures from phone using imgur and couldn't get to work. So he goes
1st pass shifter not adjusted right and couldn't find 2cd. But ran it through at 15.36 at 86.3 with AFR at 11.7. Couldn't get shifter to adjust so i felt for it on second pass. Changed secondary rods from. 048 to .055 with a O hanger. 2cd pass 14.72 at 88.6 with 12.1AFR in high gear. Shifting somewhere around 6800rpm. 1.88 60 ft. Leaving at 2200 rpm Adjusted DA 2300 3rd pass battery was dead in staging lane and I was done as the were around 300 cars and it was midnight and no time to charge. I was able to get car 25 lb. Over minimum. 4330 total weight. Things to do, tighten belt on alternator. Add second battery. Need weight anyway. More tuning and spark plug reading. My goal was 14 flat and I know I can get there. Finish line rpm was 7000. Using Wallace calculator it showed 13% slip so I need to address that. |

It was actually fun driving a loud slow car. The young kids have me silly looks. Some questioned and understood. For a station wagon it got allot of pictures.

Good start, Jeff
Probably need a better baseline before you change anything major. Max out the timing and carb and the mph will come up some. I'm not surprised the converter would be a bit loose with that much weight. Might have to pull the fin angle back towards neutral (straight up) Better get back on it soon. April's almost here and the first 100 deg. day.
