I would call a division Tech Director or the National Tech Director , and go with what they tell you is legal . Just because some racers get away with some of that shady stuff , doesn't mean they are legal .

They have this new-fangled thing called e-mail, that might work
![]() Seriously though, let an NHRA representative answer the question for you. Then decide if what the racers tell you is the direction you choose. |

Ok, thanks.
How to contact them. Note, we run by NHRA rules here. The NHRA tech I mailed/talked to is Pat Cevengros by the way. What racer say or speed shop or engine builders says is secondary, so I must has on print what one can do or not to pass a NHRA in USA tech. I’ll just wonder how Mr Cevengros can has other sights than others from NHRA ? I’m not new into this as I been in stock since mid 80’s. I has read the book as the bible, then related to engine builders what was accepted, but it’s been more of rumours and then we had the part list and rotating list. But on this new update I will has in on print exactly what is ok 2019 or not, even as I’m aware of the complexity. But why should it be ‘complex’ at all as rule book is there and it is a accepted part list at the NHRA web site. Last edited by HankN; 07-20-2019 at 04:53 PM. |

What role in NHRA has Cvengros ?
I don’t need to mail him again as I got clear message from him on this 2 issues I ask about what’s going on at the field. So let’s see what others at NHRA in tech can do here out on print. I need contact information, or if some other tech person read this ; you are more than welcome to help me out. Last edited by HankN; 07-20-2019 at 04:53 PM. |
