I was just a about 19 years old running a K/SA Olds Cultlas when I met Al. He was such a gentleman giving me tips on the combination. Haven't seen him in 25 years, but I can still remember what a nice guy he was to me and my family.

I remember when he won Bowling Green with that cool wagon and how he'd be first in line all the time. Always rooted for him because he had the same number as my dad – 3007

Al won the Bowling Green points meet when the Ronnie Milsap group owned the track. Unfortunately , the check bounced and he received 0 dollars from the track. Al loved being the first one in the lanes. Back in the day the first few racers could run down the track WITHOUT getting their run card punched....a free time run...those were the days....

Todd I now have the NHRA number in Super Stock 3007 > I am humbled to know good racers had this number before me

Bev and Al are both in the nursing home as of last weekend. It is the same place Bev went for her rehab, and she really likes it. Here is the address and phone number if anyone wants to send them greetings. They would love to hear from you.
