I have an old Classic trailer.
It uses some rectangular square tubing under the bumpers to raise the door up for the fold down ramps. |

either fabricate something that will work OR look into getting some loading dock bumpers or too into a semi trailer supply company--it seems they use something like that to cushion the trailer from slamming into the loading docks--

I used loading dock bumpers purchased from McMaster - Carr on our Gold Rush and Intech trailers. You might have to do some adapting.
