Alright, it’s time to get this Turd finished up....
Looks like I solved my tire clearance problems.
Changed out the -1 spring for a +1

I actually picked up 2 1/2” so I’m waiting for 1 more 1/2” lowering block.... It still won’t sit low as I’d like but it is what it is.

It sure has been quite the journey!! When we started bench building the car we always talked about measuring for the drive shaft being the last big thing.... well

Can the drive shaft bounce around on the bent tube under the shaft and contact the fuel line, if the u-joint fails? Did the car have a four link in it at one time. Nice looking build

Good catch, I’m gonna have to play around and see.

That bar is actually part of the frame connectors. I’m sure it’s completely overboard but I set out to make the chassis stiff as possible.

What about making a rear driveshaft loop off of that bar?

Very nice build by the way sir.

Thank you.

That’s not a terrible idea. There is another cross bar at the front of the frame connectors and the front driveshaft loop is built off of that.

I never thought about connecting the frames left to right. But there is a bunch of stuff that I’m not smart enough to think of. A cage got ours stiff. I may have to make something and see if it helps. Thanks for sharing

Got the 2nd set of lowering blocks installed today. While I was down there I decided to check on the drive shaft vs fuel lines and thankfully this is close as it gets.

Here is a picture of frame connectors. I did get the ok from D1 tech on this. I still have mix feelings about it. It’s definitely overkill and way heavier than I expected. I do like how the drive shaft loop is part of it. Maybe down the road I’ll have one fabricated from CM to loose some weight.
