Default Best Carb Builder

Who is the absolute best Holley carb guy out there now? I am in need of a 780 vs carb for a 396"- 400 HP combo.

Thanks!

Dale Cubic at CFM Performance Carburetors in Ohio or Mark Whitener at Lightning Racing Carburetors, Winter Garden, Florida.

Both have lots of experience with Stock and Super Stock Holley carburetors.

I lot of folks seem to think a lot of Bob Book's work.

I just got one of his carburetors but I have not run it yet.

I bought one of his carbs used and they refreshed it for me.

They were good to work with.

John Kyle and Randy Scheuer at APD. Take a look around the pits and you’ll see APD carbs & engines on everything that’s winning.

Mark Whitener won a shoot-out some years ago against some of the best carb builders in the country. He does a lot of work on vacuum secondary type carbs and known to pick up power everywhere. Dale Cubic is very familiar also with the 715, 750, 780 and 850 vacuum secondary style carbs and builds many of them for Stock and Super Stock racers and also builds many Holley's for the Hemi guys.

You need to get a carb guy that knows the intricacies of cast carburetors, not billet carbs.
