Victory Lane Golf Carts is owned & operated by Eddie Longhany Jr. & has been in business since 2001. They currently have 8 employees. They specialize in golf cart sales & services. Eddie is the oldest of the Longhany brothers. He competes in Stock Eliminator in his white 69 Camaro. According to Facebook last week, I think we are very close to seeing his wife, Stephanie Johnson Raynor, make her debut in the Super Stock class in her "new to her" blue 69 Camaro.

Victory Lane Golf Carts is sponsoring the 1st Round Best Losing Package for the 2021 CCRA-Carolina Class Racers Association racing season. This award will be determined at the completion of Round 1 of each event & the winning (I guess it should really be the losing) recipient will receive $50.00 for his/her efforts.

2021 CCRA points purse update‼️

The championship hunt started last weekend at Kinston with Jeff Longhany & Homer Carty taking an early lead. Our 2021 CCRA Champion will receive $5500.00 Cash, a brand new Simpson Race Products helmet courtesy of Redline Speed Shop, & a custom helmet paint job by Chad McCreary of Copperhead Graphics. We will be paying back through 10th place & there will be a racers appreciation cookout at Coastal Plains Raceway Park Dragway on the Saturday of our last race weekend.

***CCRA 2021 Sponsor Spotlight***

This week's sponsor spotlight will be a tad bit different as it isn't any particular business but instead a Father/Son racing team that participates in our CCRA-Carolina Class Racers Association races. Let me introduce you to "The McLawhorn's". Mr. Ed & son Avery contacted me at the beginning of the year & wanted to do some sort of sponsorship for the upcoming CCRA-Carolina Class Racers Association racing season & left it up to Tabitha & Leigh Anne to come up with a unique award. After a bit of brainstorming, we decided to give a "Hard Luck Award" on behalf of The McLawhorn Team. This award is decided at the end of each race based on which racer had the worst luck whether it be in route to the track or on that particular race day. The person chosen receives $25 for his/her misfortunes. Day #1 of KDS Motorsports, Mr. Roger Jarman was the recipient of this award & on Day #2 was James "Cooter" Williamson.

The McLawhorn family has been involved in class racing since 1965. Mr. Ed's father, Ed Sr, ran Junior Stockers and Super Stock. Mr. Ed passed the passion of drag racing down to his son Avery as well. The past couple of years, these 2 have been sharing driving duties in Ed's Chevy II wagon but this year will be the first year for them to be a 2 car team. Avery debuted his Chevy II at our first race race at Kinston but had some new car blues & was unable to compete. He is thrashing hard to get it ready for race #3 & #4 at Farmington Dragway on May 1st & 2nd.

Be sure when you see one of these guys at the track, that you tell them a simple "thank you" for their sponsorship for the 2021 CCRA-Carolina Class Racers Association racing season.

Mr. Ronny Williams is owner & operator of Ronny's Muffler Shop. He has been in business since 1970. Ronny is currently the only one that works there but his late son, Ronny Williams Jr, used to help his dad at the family business. They specialize in automotive exhaust work so if you're in the Jacksonville/Onslow County area & in need of exhaust work, be sure to keep Ronny in mind.

Ronny is also one of our own. He has two Super Stock cars. He has a 2000 Pontiac Firebird that he normally races at NHRA races. It has a SBC 327 in it & runs GT/NA.
