It sure looks like the outcome of the was worth the wait. That was the car I dreamed about in high school.

When shopping for my 1st car in high school I found a gorgeous root beer brown ‘71 challenger 383 with rally wheels etc. I wanted my dad’s approval even though I had a job and it was my money. He said the engine was too big and would use a lot of gas, then he gives me the okay for a ‘67 390 gt mustang fastback. It’s been FFFords ever since.

Got some tail lights and a bumper. Most of the interior is done and installed my first headliner. I’m a little bummed my Shelby deluxe door panels wouldn’t work with the side bar because they have molded in arm rest. Had to use standard door panels.

Thanks, I think it came out okay. I think the interior has been in and out multiple times before I got the car. Lots of stripped holes combined with off shore repo parts makes it time consuming and frustrating.
Hope to drop the engine in later in the week while we get a little relief from the 100 degree temps.

Made some progress. Getting use to working on the car without any help. You have to plan a little more carefully when you do things like dropping the motor in by yourself.

Lots of options,
NHRA natural A car so AA/SA - B/SA it can also slow down to S/ST. ANRA I can run D-gas or HR. Brackets If I get tired or go broke it can become a street car.

Finish up wiring and install seats and shifter and the interior will be done. Some plumbing work and it will be ready for engine break in.
