Here in western NC (Shelby, NC to be exact), we are also blessed with a plethora of race tracks. Here's a list of 19 tracks between 15 mins and 3hours away.

Shadyside Dragway
Elk Creek Dragway
North Wilkesboro
Greer Dragway
Ware Shoals
Pageland Dragway
Carolina Dragway
South Carolina Motorplex
Mooresville Dragway
Roxboro Motorsports Park
Rockingham Dragway
Farmington Dragway
GALOT Motorsports Park
Darlington Dragway
ZMAX Dragway
Union County Dragway
Atlanta Dragway (now extinct)
Piedmont Dragway

Theres another 15 or so more if you are willing to double the drive with tracks like SGMP and VMP added as well as several out in eastern NC, SC, TN, and GA
