Maybe you have to decide if you love drag racing or just the machinations of Stock Eliminator.

The entire point of Stock and Super Stock is to choose what you believe is a competitive combination that you like, and attempt to out work and out think your competition to be faster.

The bracket racing component of the classes came later, to "save them from possible extinction".

The hard core people in the classes still seek to choose a competitive combination that they like, and try to be at least among the fastest, if not the fastest, in their respective class.
