Here we go again this whole on this whole engine deal; it is all one big compromise. In a stocker type application i think it would be well worth shortening the rod length even if it is the legal amount. Here we go, in the cylinder head dept, we are fairly limited with this intake runner and intake manifold combo. So the shorter we make this rod to a point we might be able to improve on this intake pulse. Like an older comp eliminator record holder once said, " First You have to get it in" (air and fuel).
