Default TNT Series adds to schedule - Double race weekend to feature both 10.90 & 8.90

FENWICK, ONTARIO (July 15, 2008) Bieda’s Powersports is proud to present – The Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series at Toronto Motorsports Park (TMP) for a double race weekend – Saturday & Sunday, September 13-14. This weekend is the rescheduled running of two Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA) events – The Victoria Day Challenge and the KC Auto Parts Family Day Challenge – Which will bring the world’s fastest door slammers of the PMRA together with some of the toughest sportsman competitors on the planet, the TNT 10.90 Super Series.

There will be two complete TNT events – one race in its entirety on Saturday and another on Sunday. (The Sunday event was already on the 2008 TNT schedule.) Each race is guaranteed to pay at least $500 to the winner along with round money, contingency postings and points toward the TNT yearend championship. Qualifying for each race will happen each day. “We felt that with the high cost of fuel, having two races at the same venue on the same weekend made sense for a lot of the TNT competitors,” commented TNT Director of Operations Ted Barnes.

The Scott Jahren Paint 8.90 event originally set for Sunday Sept 14th will now be contested on Saturday Sept 13th. “If there is enough interest, we will run a second 8.90 race on Sunday…but that won’t be determined until the Saturday night,” said Ted.

In addition, rounds in the Can-Am Stock/Super Stock Series will compete on Sunday.

Bieda's Powersports is a perfect partner for this event. “Their business is all about toys with a bunch of power, and that’s what this weekend of racing is going to be,” added Ted. Bieda’s has been in the powersports business since 1974 and has evolved from an 88 acre family farm into the Niagara Peninsula's premier powersports dealership. Bieda's carries Bombardier Ski-doos as well as Sea-Doo watercraft, Sea-Doo Sport Boats, Suzuki all-terrain vehicles and off road motorcycles. “The date of this event couldn’t have been better for sportsman racers,” commented Neale Armstrong, Director of Track Operations at TMP. “Combining the TNT Series with the PMRA and the Cam Am Stock/Super Stocks will make for a terrific show!”

This TNT 10.90 event adds an additional points race on the Canadian side for the 2008 Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series points chase. Championship standings will still be determined using a racer’s best 3 Canadian and 3 US races. Racers will now have more flexibility in which races they use to determine their position in the points standings.
