8 point roll cage head protector
i am building a 68 stock eliminator type car and have a 8 point roll bar, but i would like to run my stock low back buckets. any suggestions or pictures of what will pass tech, the rule book is kind of vauge on the materials you can use. thanks ron

Jegs or Summit sell SFI approved roll bar padding in strips. Peel & stick stuff with tie straps to help hold it in place. Inexpensive stuff $6 - $8 a strip. One strip should be enough. Cut off sections the lengths you need. Works good.
The rule book just says "any place the driver's helmet may come in contact with."

Ron, You can get a 6" dia round head rest from any circle track supplier.....Kirkey makes them for steering wheel pads. ....Just install a tube [ I've used 1 1/4"]behind the seat, between the shoulder crossbar and the top tube on the rear hoop, and attach the head rest . ....... You may have to make an extension bracket to make it close enough to your helmet. .....Tom
