Piedmont Dragway to Host an Open Tournament of Champions Race 7/30-31/2010

This race is an open T.O.C. qualifier race, so it is open to all competitors from all divisions, with no worries about in or out of division claim. This race will also feature the increased T.O.C. qualifier contingency posting. The race will kick off Friday with gates opening at 10:00am, tech opening at 1:00pm, and a track hosted test and tune from 6:00 till 10:00pm.

Jim Turner has recently welcomed two new partners in Ron Senecal, and Gilmer Hinshaw, and with the new partners coming on board they want to open the weekend with a Racers Appreciation Party, sponsored by tirebuyers.com on Friday night. The racing will be tight as there are some of the toughest racers in the nation expected to converge on one of the finest facilities in IHRA. The Saturday schedule is to start time runs at 11:00am, but with the huge number of racers expected may have to be moved up to 10:00am. If time allows, there are now plans for an open bracket race along with a stock/super stock combo to follow the T.O.C. race Saturday night.
