Default My recreation of my fathers 1967 Super Stock

This project is a tribute to my Father Gene Takash. He was a fierce competitor in NHRA division 2 through the 60's.This was my favorite race car he had when I was growing up. I always wanted to do something for him. So I have recreated his 1967 SS/EA Dodge. This project has been a 3 year venture and is closing fast. Hope to do a burn out this season !

Are you building the car as a legal SS'er?

Nice shots of the '67 Coronet...what color was it originally, I can't tell if that is black or dark brown with a champagne color roof...and yes keep us updated on the cars progress.

Reminds me of another black 1967 Plymouth I saw at a Chrysler test session circa 1976 in Bradenton. I seem to remember it was called Jumping Jack or something like it. I think it was all black as best as I can remember after 35 years or so. Pretty car and the uniforms look very professional. I was thinking the roof should have been gold to go with the lettering.

Evidently not. Rulebook in S/S says when moving rear framerail in..."Bottom of framerail may not be higher than location of original floor."
