Pac 1330 valve spring
Currently running the pac 1330 spring on 283 ss motor. Found water damage due to head leaking. Car only has 3 runs on springs. I have one spring I don't like the way it looks and want to replace it. Jegs sells single springs but they are currently out of stock. Does anyone know of another vender/distributor for this spring? Thanks,

Re: Pac 1330 valve spring
Call PAC directly - they should sell you the spring.

Re: Pac 1330 valve spring
I had called PAC, and they don't sell retail. They recommended a dealer in Ohio. He was great to work with !

Who did you talk to at PAC? I need to have a chat with him. We never turn down anyone. That is a huge part on what makes us who we are. You do not see many manufactures that sell direct to anyone. |

Re: Pac 1330 valve spring
Don't know who I talked to, but it bugged me they would not sell me a set of springs. I worked just down the street from PAC. He suggested a stocking dealer, and that is who I bought from. If the PAC guy had given me the choice, I would have bought direct. It would have saved me a day. I have to say the Motorsports Unlimited guy provided extremely good service, and was quick to provide information on the springs I needed.

I like Ken a lot (motorsports unlimited). I am glad he was able to help you out in a timely manner. I am sorry that someone here told you to go elsewhere. How long ago was this? We just hired a new guy a couple months ago. |

From this discussion it seems you are part of the PAC Springs staff. If so this is just a FYI; I would like to inform you PAC stiffed me on contingency in 2009. I have not been a fan since of PAC even though I still run your product. In 2009 PAC had farmed out the contingency program to a Motorsports group in one of the Carolina's. I still have documentation where I sent them info and the dozen or so of phone calls where they told me "the check is in the mail". PAC springs and Aeroquip fittings both stiffed me in 2009. I just won S/G at the Seattle Division race in August and hope for a better outcome this time. Time will tell. Rick Cates S/G 5887 |

Re: Pac 1330 valve spring
Rick,
I am very sorry to hear this news. In 2009 I was not employed by PAC so I have no idea who was in control of the contingency program. We have since then been pretty good about getting checks out in a timely manner. We still have strugles as so many racers now run PAC springs. This info even though is negative, gives us good feedback on where we are lacking customer service to our end users and racers. -Matt |
