DOT California
The State of California has a limit on trailers of 56' or longer. This is new. But you can buy a Motorsports Exemption online for $16. There is no over all length limit. So if you got one, get the permit. I think it is issued 2 days before you enter, and good for 10 days. Don't matter if Sportsman or Pro. Hope this helps someone.

Re: DOT California
Trailer only. Overall length has no limit. The pro trailers are all 56'. Some sportsman might be. Just a note I got from someone who permits many of the pro trailers. The advice here is 'if you got one, spend the $16 and get a permit.
