Throughts and Prayers to Jim Nichol's Racing ...
Steve ( Thompson?) ... Jim Nichols long time racing Buddy / Companion died yesterday of a heart attack. Years ago Steve was a racer himself, but in the past few years has been the loyal crew member for Jim's Max Wedge Plymouth. RIP our friend, Prayers and thoughts go out to Jim.

Re: Throughts and Prayers to Jim Nichol's Racing ...
My prayers and condolences to Steve's family. My thoughts are with Jim as well. I know you are going to miss your crew chief.
Last year, I met Jim and Steve at Quaker City for the Ross' stock/super stock series. During a rain delay, Steve and I started talking about his days working at the rod shop. I was annoying him with questions about all of my heroes who raced for the rod shop. He shared his stories about traveling the country with the California Flash. I hope he enjoyed the trip down memory lane, I did! He offered to help me on the starting line since I was by myself that day. Steve will be missed, I will not forget him. Carl Schodde Jr. |
