Re: Heads up runs in Stock & Super Stock
Proof that Stock and Super Stock are not really performance eliminators any more. I have said for several years that they are simply expensive bracket races and I have no problem with that.

Whoops! I was doing the YTD 2016 events. Need to read more closely.
Two events were more manageable than 40+.

Only because NHRA has put too many classes into the guide. Giving the shoe polish regime a place to hide!

Re: Heads up runs in Stock & Super Stock
I had one at Pomona (O/SA) last month. Jon Jr had one (D/SA)
at Phoenix Nationals last week and just missed two more (Burton/Hatch) that would have been plenty tough. I had three in a row at Sear Pt. Natls. a few years ago. You can adjust your class and position on ladder to either improve you chances of a heads up or not.........OR just hope for the best.

Re: Heads up runs in Stock & Super Stock
Right..and combining sticks and autos would be a good place to start getting rid of classes even if it required a weight break in the lower HP automatic transmission classes to make it fair. According to Nitro Joe's stats In the higher HP classes it isn't necessary.
If it's good enough to combine transmissions in the FS classes then why not here? Just my 2 cents..

Re: Heads up runs in Stock & Super Stock
Why would NHRA do that. Stock is healthy the way it is.
