Re: Baton Rouge IHRA race
I just heard that the B.R. race will be postponed until April 15-17.
Probably a good decision, based on the weather forecast. I suspect the official word will come out tomorrow morning. |

Re: Baton Rouge IHRA race
Westbound I-10 is closing today (Tuesday) at the LA/TX state line because of rising flood waters. The access roads in that area are already under water.

Re: Baton Rouge IHRA race
Who rescheduled this race? We have no races in May except for the national in Atlanta! Seems pretty silly to have all this races 4-5 weeks in a row.

Re: Baton Rouge IHRA race
Pro's and Con's.You leave No Problem track. You drive to Baton Rouge which you have to drive pass to go home. You leave your rig. Then come back. NHRA /IHRA 3 races in give or take 10 days same amount of fuel. Then home 200 miles to Dallas and then 227 miles to Houston. 5 races in a short time. Maybe 6 if you go to San Antonio first and then to No Problem. Then off till June. And???? Just saying.

Re: Baton Rouge IHRA race
You also have to keep in mind that race tracks have other events scheduled too. So, there may have not been many weekends to choose from. It is a lot in a row, but it does make geographical sense being close to No Problem's points race. I rather race in April if the alternative was the 90+ heat in July or August. It's not always an easy task scheduling, and you can't please everybody.
