Default Chevelle Question 68-72 Suspension

I remember many moons ago there were Chevelle stocker guys that bragged on an Alf Wiebe bolt on legal traction set up. Does anyone care to share a person or company that still markets a ?kit? that can be bought. Of course the old man would also want live voice tech connection for help. All build help appreciated ??..maybe even a car or roller 68-72 Chevelle for sale. Thanks, rustykdavenport@gmail.com

Nobody makes a kit like that any longer that I've seen, but it's really not necessary. Get yourself an axle housing that has the upper control arm mounting point moved up (Moser 12 bolt) and some good double adjustable upper control arms (UMI is my preference), use roto-joints in the housing ears rather then OEM style bushings. Southside Machine makes nice, boxed lower control arms. You can order any custom length which helps if you need to correct wheelbase/for tire clearance.

Install a quality rear swaybar, HR Parts N Stuff is the best in my experience. Google may show they're closed or out of business, but they still answer my calls & I've purchased successfully.

The rear springs aren't critical as far as rate, just install the ones that give you the desired ride height. I use UMI 1.5" lowering springs in the rear of G-bodies.

Make sure the front suspension works freely as well, very important to the whole chassis working. The front control arms should fall under their own weight once installed on the car.
