KELSON & KELSON STOCK/SUPERSTOCK SERIES - RACE 5 REPORT
Cape Breton Dragway NHRA National Open, Aug 29, 2025
Race Sponsor: Atlantic Turbo & Diesel

The first of the two races of the Cape Breton National Open race was also the fifth race of the ACSSA 2025 season, and had Mike Ingram looking to gain some breathing space in his points lead in both the John Scotti National Open Series and the ACSSA series. Temperatures remained in the 70s all day, with a DA from 1200-1600', and Water Grains in the 55-75 range. The field settled in at 20 cars, and both Qualifying and Eliminations saw plenty of strong performances and close racing. Jeremy Keans held off a determined effort by Ryan Thibeault and claimed the top spot after two rounds of Qualifying, with a pass that was -0.851 under his 1/8 mile Index.
Mike methodically worked his way through the field, and faced Ryan Thibeault in the Final Round. The Final was a great one, with Mike getting the edge at the tree .034 to .044, and both racers running just .001 over their dial, with Mike taking the win light to earn his third Stock/SuperStock Wally of the year. Congratulations to them both!
