Re: Transbrake launch rpm?
On my car the leave RPM more affects the reaction time than the ET. I would start out about 3800. Then bump up or down to find a comfortable spot on the tree

Re: Transbrake launch rpm?
2850# car with 355" sbc, glide with 1.76 low gear, 5,800 stahl, 33" tall tire, 5.43 rear gear, leaving with trans brake at 4,000-4,600 it will 60' in the low 1.30's and run 9.80's-9.90's at 132-134mph crossing at 8,000rpm. I have only foot braked the car once in the last couple of years and it ran 10.20 leaving at about 1,800 rpm in the middle of the summer. On my car I think the brake is worth about a .10-.15. Hope this helps.

should I be able to do the same because my mph matches yours? I have 4.56 gears with a 29" slick with a 1.80 first gear and 5500 stall. |
