It always seems to tickle me when anyone asks for a average number for head flow or, what should an average 255hp 350 S/S engine make on the dyno. You would think people have asked for nude photos of your mom , or pics of little henry lol. For sure if I had found an additional 20hp I sure as hell would not tell that I have found it or what I changed to get it! As Adger said flow numbers don't tell the while story, or does a wicked peak hp number make a car quick when when the engine is a turd in the midrange. It would be nice to get some average numbers to know if you are in the ball park. Don Jackson

Don avg on a set off 461s 205, this is average set. Jim Hanig 200 to 700 lift.

I agree. Mid lift numbers are very important since the lift curve sees them on both sides (opening and closing) and more time is spent there than at peak.
