It's kind of funny if you do get to the track early you feel you deserve a closer pit spot! Human nature I guess....I over heard a racer who got the worst pit spot ever in Seattle....really a mile away from the starting line, jumped out of his truck and said "ya I think I can win from here". Put it all in perspective! Just wish I was there......I would take a bad pit spot, it would be a treat, just to go racing!

Ok i need to say something here...first of all the upgrades to the track...i have personally seen the plans for a major track upgrade where they will turn the track 90 degree`s so the afternoon sun will not be an issue anymore...the dragstrip will be totally seperate from the road course...This thing is beautiful....NOW why is it not done and this is where you can come in and help; It`s because of all the Tree hugging/Bed wetting folks who live next to the tract and the are pulling out all the stops to not only stop this project but to shut down the track for good...So get involved at the forum meetings and show your support for the future of drag racing in the northwest and if you cant attend just write a letter and send it to the track and they will collect then and take the the meeting to show support from the racing community...We have a powerfull voice if we use it.

Now Pitting.....yes it sucks, been there done that...But think about this as you load your trailer to go home (hopefully with a Wally)...Dont you start at the front and work your way back so you dont trip over anything?...wish i was there...even on the road course.

I don't blame anyone for being upset at waiting for days and getting a crappy spot, NHRA knows exactly how many racers are going to show up and need to appropriately allocate spots.

I think this is a bunch of B.S. ive been to much worse tracks than Seattle! theres grass, trees, gravel and pavement. it is what it is.i watched Jody win (2) classes and he was pitted in the gravel. so the bottom line is don't bash our race tracks, you can win from any pit spot your givin.

Having raced here for over 30 years it is by far one of the best tracks around. Some may have better management at times and better weather at other times but over all it is a great place...Do not knock it or we may lose it...!!! It is a track that is open right now, so use it while you can........

I wasn't bashing the track...just saying folks like Bob deserved a bit better based on when he arrived and it's frustrating to have promises of improvements and seeing them trickle in. If ownership is unwilling or constrained by the county in making improvements then they should simply say that's the way it is and not make promises they can't keep.
