As for fuel it is open and pump gas is what it is.
Where it is available locally and Unleaded Track gas.
Until middle last year drove my car to the track.
So only thing I could use was what was at the gas station.
Never understood the need to run just expensive race gas.

Our rules are basically before the Open Spring Rule.
Our ETs reflect the times.
If we are within the spirit of the law we are good.
Seeing more Pure Stockers this year.
Which is cool.
Very fun cost effective way to run stock.

Now, now Dan. Duane, who is a "part time Drag Racer and part time speed shop manager" and with two, count 'em two losing rounds of racing under his belt this year, feels with all these credentials, it makes him an expert on rules, regulations and all things racing. Don't you dare disagree with him or you risk his wrath! Jim

It's not legal if you can't pass fuel check so we will see if it can pass. As for Jim. Yep I raced my car twice at Mir last month. Last time was 2014 presidents cup before that was 2012? Richmond pro am. Now at Mir in 2014 where I won the Sunday race I won more rounds then your failed association has successfully completed this summer. Ive probably had the car (same car I built and have done everything on not bought cause my fwd car wouldn't fall out of tree) in tear down atleast 20 times. So yea I know the rule book some, besides when my father ran the sportsman side of Ihra I studied the book a lot. So if you need some advice down their in the sticks feel free to ask, put a condom on your heart cause your feelings are gonna be ****ed if you wanna keep starting ****. I went to 2 races in the last 2 years, what's your excuse for not being able to buy a round at your own events?

Both my FWD cars were #1 qualifiers at most of the races I went to. FWD cars are not very consistent which is why I gave up on them. I have never raced at any of the SSSSA races because I've either been President or V.P. the whole time. It is very hard to put on a race and race also. You would know that if you had any experience in providing good, safe , family oriented races for real racers. Do yourself a favor and just stop posting your uneducated, nonfactual BS. Your just floundering around embarrassing yourself. Oh and your grammar really sucks! I find it funny that someone from Virginia is telling someone else they are from the "sticks". Jim

I realized that we hijacked this thread and I apologize for my part. It was my fault. Jim

NP Jim ...it happens..
I will call Capitol to see what fuel is stored!
Pure Stock, IHRA lets us race with pump gas.
Regular Stock requires the approved Fuels.
IMHO should be optional like Pure Stock.
The rules are what they are!

Btw did you have the FWD Caddys in the 80s.
You set the record in two of them and when it came to tech tear down.
Nobody knew how to take the engine apart ;-) ?

Yes, I ran the Caddy's for 18 years. Had a GM sponsorship with Cadillac and Hydramatic. Those were some fun times. I got pretty good at tearing them down after a while! Jim

Yup remember seeing your car and setting the records.
Think you needed a Caddy specialist from Detroit to help put them back together.
That was how new they were.

1983 won a point meets at Moroso. Beat Jim Jeffreies in the final. Paul Forte won SS.
Won $1300 that night and passed tear down!
Stan Welch lived nearby and let me park the Impala at his home.

With that win and other rounds was running 3rd in points. Then my wife touched me on the shoulder. Our first baby was otw and soon after my company moved me to Orlando.

Jim Jeffries later borrowed my 1969 Impala and won Sulfolk and semifinals in Louisiana.
Still have the car going through restoration.

Hope to see you all in Florida next year.
Planning to load the tow car, trailer and Impala on the AutoTrain again.
See if I can race all Division 2 series since they are all bunched together.

Dan
