Re: 225 1 bbl go to guy
Mike Jeffrey held the record 2 different times with the car Curtis has. IIRC, he went 1.27 under. It was not fast when he started. He and Phillip wrote letters and got some HP taken off. Over the years Mike got hit twice, but it would still go 1.05 under. Last time I helped him at Tri-State he still had the "Denver" setup in it and went 1.001 under on the first pass.
He always told me the 1bbl combo was a turd. I wanted to try it because I had a Duster. No 2bbl on any Duster. Your only hope with it is to build it, get it as fast as possible, then state your case and hope Uncle Wally will take some HP away. |
Re: 225 1 bbl go to guy
About 2bb in Dusters, awhile back in an old scrap yard I came upon a 75-6 Duster with the super six (2bb) didn't look like anything had ever been changed from stock.

Re: 225 1 bbl go to guy
I bought a feather duster years ago that had the original aluminum intake with what I thought was a 2bbl. I still have it somewhere lol.
Am I remembering correctly they had a 2bbl? |
Re: 225 1 bbl go to guy
According to my old faithful Motors Manual, the Super 6 didn't start production until 1977. I thought they started sooner.

Re: 225 1 bbl go to guy
No 2bbl on A bodies at all. It is a very popular swap though, and SS setups complete are bringing good money today.
Feather Dusters and Dart Lites had an aluminum 1 bbl intake. I've had a few. I could not even give one away. |
