I'am not saying Mr Sloan can't bulid a fast class winning stocker motor just we havent seen one so far.
Wow, you're cool. Nice "I'm not bashing, but I am." post. I'm sorry if yuo were offended that I felt like publicly expressing my appreciation. If you'd like to start your own post touting how great your engine builder's stuff is, feel free to do so. They would probably appreciate it. I posted things that I had first hand knowledge about. I'm not familiar with every one of his customers and accomplishments. Insinuating that Sloan doesn't have credentials is not only extremely rude, but uninformed. You may return to your country club and stir the pot elsewhere.

P.S. My only response to the alleged "Mr. Holmes" is, "Just because I only run around 1 second under does not mean that is all that I got. Feel free to drop in F/CM any time."[/QUOTE]

Hillary, I am sure this thread was started with good intentions, and it was. I also know lots of other racers say good things about your dads engines. it makes you wonder why this holmes guy wants to make such statments about Slone racing and ihra with intentions of down grading both parties. mr. holmes said he was in a special group af people. i feel the holmrs thread does not represents the nhra racers that race ihra and most likely 95 percent of all other nhra racers. this special group must be in the lower percent of all racers. they say if these kind of people are ignored they will go away.

And that is fine if you want to run crate motor and IHRA full time. But untill they bulid a real stocker motor that runs .80 after 100 passes us hear on the real side of class racing are not impressed. Myself and other racers will keep using Tri city, parson's, Warren, Wikle, Bub Witt, Kowen and other proven eng buliders that have fast class cars. I'am not saying Mr Sloan can't bulid a fast class winning stocker motor just we havent seen one so far. I'am not talking t/sa class winner but something A/SA-K/SA where you haft to earn your class wins.

Go do what you do best......F other guys!! You a$$hole!!!

Too bad this guy wasnt very good, then John Slomes would have some respect for SRE.

Re: Sloan Racing Engines

Hillarey I have one better for you. Why don't you put a real motor in your car and run G/SA or F/SA then we could meet heads up any place any time 10000 cash winner takes all and I will even pay for the NHRA offical to do a post race teardown( NHRA offical only because IHRA TEARDOWN is a joke). If you are interrested just say the word and I will give you my real name and car number and what kind of car. No tricks now!!!!

Personally, I prefer my equipment to be reliable, consistent and competitive enough to win events and championships. Being on an ego trip with emphasis on fastest in class and/or top qualifier bragging rights is not conductive to winning events. Somehow I feel that most racers will agree. If that's ALL you have to put on the table, perhaps you should find a heads-up only class.

Re: Sloan Racing Engines

better yet, save the 10 grand and buy yourself a set of balls, maybe then you can use a real name! besides you started this unsportsmanship bashing due to being either jealous or bored. if you have a fast car thats totally cool but to bash another for accomplishments far greater than yours. thats pretty low!
