Re: Nevada Travel Permit Warning On NHRA

Mark, if you went across the dam how close does the bridge look like on being complete?
At the fall race we went out and looked and about half of the road bed was laid across the canyon.
We usually go through Bull Head just in case they won't let us cross the dam. It is a long way back to the turn off if they turn you around.
Wife says she won't cross the bridge when it is finished. I have told her she will just have to go to the back of the motorhome as I drive across or walk across. She says she is not sure she can walk across it as it is going to be really high above the canyon.
Good Luck At The Race

The last 2 or 3 trusses are being put into place now. Some of the roadbed is there too.
No guardwalls yet.
It's only 900' above the river!
I took some pics, but can't load them here...

Thanks,Rick

We live about five miles from Dam. We routinely run our 53' Vintage thru Dam. The do not like stackers or 3 car wedges. They want to check trunk in cars and inside trailer for excessive fuel...as long as you can do that without climbing around you are good to go!

I found this thread doing a Google search on this issue. Thanks to Jeff and everbody else who posted on this thread. I spent part of the weekend trying to figure out exactly what I need for a duallie, open trailer and race car that has a actual weight just under 10k but has a gross rating of 14k. Any war stories from this weekend?

Thanks again.

This is the same section on Sunday, all tied together. What a country!

Yep, 'specially with a 1600# car. I got a great deal on it just as the economy turned. Unfortunately for me I did'nt get the enclosed trailer to put behind it before the economy got up close and personal with me. Now I'm stuck with mis-matched bookends. Oh well, thats showbiz.
